"I'm Still Here" Analysis: Riley B.
Poem By: Langston Hughes
My hopes the wind done scattered.
Snow has friz me,
Sun has baked me,
Looks like between 'em they done
Tried to make me
Stop laughin', stop lovin', stop livin'--
But I don't care!
I'm still here!
How does the Structure affect the Content of the poem?
I think the structure of the poem affects the content a lot. First it gives the poem that "dramatic flair" and all of the stanzas, commas, and pauses, it gives time for the reader to reflect what the author said, and it will effect them more deeply. And finally, the repetition helps get the poems words and meaning stuck into their memory, so it is easier for them to remember the lesson that is learned during the poem.
