Four more days to donate non-perishable food items to VCEC Senior BETA Club Can Food Drive continues through to Dec. 9th. Students, teachers, and staff are encouraged to bring non-perishable food canned, boxed food, and pre-packaged fruits and desserts such as fruit cups. The grade level that collects the most items will receive an Ice Cream Social on Friday, Dec. 10th.

All collected items will be donated to the homeless shelter, "Community Partners of

Hope" in Henderson NC.

A huge thank you to all of our 9th and 10th-grade parents and students who attended the Dec. 1st meeting. Grade 11 meeting will be on Thu. Dec. 9th.

The grade 12 and 13 Parent-Student meeting is postponed to January. A date will be shared once graduation, prom, and senior week dates are finalized via VCS District Office.

Vital academic and school administrative information is shared during the meetings. Parents, please know that your attendance is essential and beneficial to your child's academic success.

Inappropriate cell phone use is a tremendous distraction to the learning environment and school culture overall. Cell phone use during school hours is limited to instructional purposes, only.

Cell phone use is only permitted before and after school and during lunch. Parents, please contact your child via their VCS email or call the school office at 252-738-3580 to have a message delivered.

Unauthorized use of cell phones warrants a behavioral consequence and parent contact.

Students are required to attend all high school exams and review sessions.
