Patriot's Pen
Week 11: November 5-9
Happy November!!
Only two and 1/2 weeks til Thanksgiving and seven weeks til Christmas.
Seriously, where has the time gone? I guess what they say is true, time really does fly by when you're having fun.
The next few weeks will be gone before we know it. Let's stay focused on our goals both personal and professional. Stay true to your PLC and the commitments you've made to yourself and to them.
Although this time of year is full of memories in the making filled with family, friends and jolly holiday fun, it's important for us to remember it can also be one of the most emotional and difficult times for many. It can be especially difficult for kids who may only know how to cope by behaving in not so appropriate ways. Keep this in mind as we move closer to the holidays and reach out for support when needed.
Nominees will be invited to our Rawlinson Nominee Luncheon, Thursday, November 15th.

2. Please put in recycling any old student offense reports. For subs, leave copies of the new form we are using now with P4C. Teachers and staff, please also use new form.
3. Remember to be on time to duty, and be at your doorway during passing period, actively engaging with students.
4. When absent, please trade duties so there are no gaps in supervision, and be sure you leave comprehensive lesson plans for the sub. As soon as you know you are going to be absent, please request a sub at that time.
5. When a student is misbehaving, respond in a professional and respectful manner. Model what we want from students, even in moments of frustration and disappointment.
6. The best deterrents for inappropriate behavior are a) positive relationships b) lots of structures and routines that build in clarity and predictability 3) consistency and fairness.
