April is Poetry Month!
- I can read and comprehend poetry.
- I can refer to the structural elements of poems (e.g., verse, rhythm, meter)
We celebrated Poem in Your Pocket day on Thursday, April 27th by preparing a poem to share throughout the day.
We explored Blackout poetry, Free Verse poetry, Haiku, Concrete poetry, and Color poems.
We also took a peek at the novels in verse we have in our library to discover.
The Blackout Poetry station was a huge hit
