Kindergarten Registration Now Open
In kindergarten students study English language arts and literacy as well as mathematics as part of the Common Core Standards along with Next Generation Science Standards. Social studies is also integrated into their weekly learning activities. Visit the Curriculuim Guides for more details about what students learn in kindergarten. For pictures of kindergarten activities, please visit the school's Google Doc folder.
Kindergarten registration is now open if the student will turn 5-years-old on or before September 1, 2023. (Please do not register your Sprague early childhood student for kindergarten until the spring.) The district offers half day and full day kindergarten. There is no lottery for full day kindergarten. Full day kindergarten is $3,500 payable in two installments and half day kindergarten is $92 a year. Registration takes place through our online portal, PowerSchool Enrollment. Please review the kindergarten e-notice for details on registration requirements.
Drive Cautiously Near School Buses
What is the most dangerous part of the school bus ride? The bus stop! Children are at greatest risk when they are getting on or off the school bus. Watch this video featuring D103 buses from the Lake County Sheriff's Office about following the rules of the road when driving near a school bus.

All Staff Chili Lunch
PTO is celebrating our D103 staff by treating them to a chili and soup luncheon. We are looking for a few people to volunteer by making a crockpot of chili or soup (your recipe of choice!) for the luncheons. This year the chili lunch will take place on Monday Jan. 30, at Sprague, Half Day and Daniel Wright schools.
We know not everyone is a chef, so if you would prefer to contribute financially, any donation will allow us to provide salads, decor, and all of the "trimmings".
Thank you so much for helping show the fabulous D103 staff our appreciation for all that they do for our children!
