NO SCHOOL - March 19th Remote Planning Day For Teachers
Changes to Onsite Learning: When to Expect More Information
You recently completed a survey to select your child(ren)'s learning preference(s) for the remainder of the school year (remote only/hybrid). These changes will go into effect on April 6. As mentioned in that survey, we continue to explore ways to bring students on campus more frequently.
Below is a timeline as to when parents can expect additional information regarding what these changes might be:
Wednesday, March 17: Additional Information highlighting if students will be onsite more frequently.
Thursday, March 18: Parent Forum scheduled at each school
Friday, March 19: No student attendance, teacher planning day
April 6: If changes are made they will start on this day.
We recognize if there are instructional changes, parents will have questions. Therefore, we will utilize a 'Parent Forum' scheduled for 7 pm on Thursday, March 18 at Park View for Park View parents. The forum will be in person, therefore an RSVP is required.
You MUST submit your RSVP in advance via this Google Form by 9 pm Wednesday (3/18) because there is a lot of planning and consideration involved to safely accommodate visitors to our building.
Wait... Can I submit my RSVP now before I review the plan?
You can wait until the plan is released to RSVP. However, if you know in advance this is a session you want to attend, we encourage you to please submit your RSVP now. Space will be limited.
How can I submit my questions?
When the plan is released on Wednesday, we will include a form you can complete to submit specific questions.
Will there be a remote option to watch the forum?
There will not be a live stream option, but a recording of the presentation will be available.
I hope to see our Park View parents at the Park View forum next week!! Don't forget to RSVP!!
Some Things To Remember -
- If you need to get a message to your child during the day regarding a change in your after school routines, call the office. DO NOT email the teacher as that message may not get to your child before they leave school.
- Please DO NOT cross Elizabeth by the gate on the North end of Park View School. There is no crosswalk and starting April 6 we will have two large yellow buses, one small white bus, and one transport van using the bus zone. They are all large vehicles and when other students see adults crossing in that area, they will follow suit. ONLY use the crosswalk that is even with Door #1.
- Dogs are not allowed on school property. If you bring your dog you must stand on the easement (the grassy area beyond the school sidewalks), or in the field on the North end of the building. Also, please pick up any dog poop so students do not encounter it while taking mask breaks or movement breaks during the school day. Thank You!
