Car Pick-Up/Drop Off
School Entrance Information
If you are coming to Loring for any reason around arrival (8:40-8:55 a.m.) or dismissal time (3:20-3:35 p.m.), you should enter in the second entrance near the baseball field. On typical days, the gate closes at 8:53 a.m and 3:40 p.m.. Cars should not be entering the first entrance during the arrival/dismissal times.
In the morning, If you arrive around 8:50 a.m. and the buses are gone from the front of the school, you can pull in and take a quick left to drop off at the front doors.
In the afternoon, staff members are leaving on the left and car drop-off/pick-up families are leaving on the right of this driveway so this area needs to be kept a one way.
Safety First!
Please do not get out of the line and go around cars in front of you unless you are being directed to do so by a staff member. It makes it very unsafe for children and staff when cars leave the line instead of waiting.
Thank you for being patient and remember safety needs to be our first priority. Please reach out to us if you have any questions about this.

LINC - 4th and 5th Grade Students
After School Intergenerational Club for Grades 4 and 5 begins January 16 at Nixon
This club is open to all Nixon and Loring students in grades 4 and 5 who are interested in working with and learning from Sudbury Seniors. Led by Nixon 4th grade teacher Jeffrey Kotkin, students and seniors will begin by forging a connection with one another through interactive discussions and group activities. The fun will continue through story sharing, arts, and STEM activities.
This year STEM activities will emphasize environmental challenges, including Native American environmental solutions. Other activities and group projects include conducting interviews, investigating family history and sharing special skills and projects with our intergenerational teams. Meetings are relaxed and fun. The series culminates with a community celebration for families at the Senior Center.
