Arrival and Dismissal Reminders from Mrs. Cockrell
- If you are dropping off your student BEFORE 7:15am, please do so on the side entrance by the Gym/Cafe. These are the only doors open with a teacher on duty to ensure student safety.
- During AM drop-off, you are able to utilize either the front or back car line (unless you have a student in Kinder, you can use the side). We encourage you to utilize the back car line, as most of our families don't take advantage of the additional drop-off location.
-During PM pick-up, we will be putting out cones at the entrance of the parking lot to help with the flow of front and back car line. Please be aware of which direction you should be entering from Somerville depending on which location you are picking up from.
Transportation Changes
Where does my child go in the morning?
- Students can begin arriving to school at 6:45am. If your child is arriving to school before 7:15am they will enter the side doors between the Gym and the Cafeteria. Parents, please use the Kinder/bus loop before 7:15am. All other doors will be locked until 7:15am to ensure the safety of our students and staff. At 7:15am the front and back main doors will be unlocked.
- Both the front and back of the school can be utilized during 7:15am-7:45am depending on the direction you are coming from on Somerville Drive. Kinder will continue to utilize the bus loop by the Gym/Cafeteria.
*If you have a student in Kinder and a student in the upper grade, please utilize the Kinder car line for drop off.
**ALL First Graders arriving before 7:35am go directly to the cafeteria!
A message from Mrs. Cockrell about Lunch
When visiting for lunch, parents must sit on the stage with their student ONLY. Students are not allowed to bring a friend with them on stage. This policy is to ensure the safety and privacy of our students. Thank you for your understanding.
How can I limit what my child buys at lunch?
You can place restrictions on your child’s lunch account by contacting Eileen Johnson at emjohnson@prosper-isd.net . Restrictions can be as specific as “only allow ice cream on Wednesdays” or "only allow extras on Friday's". Please be sure to visit with your child about your family’s "extras" expectations.

Guidelines for Illness at School
PISD Parent Health Letter
Dear Folsom Parents,
Prosper ISD is committed to the well-being of our students. As such, we are very fortunate to have a registered nurse on our campus, as this is not a requirement by the state of Texas. Your student’s school nurse is on campus to promote health and safety education to students, staff and our community, as well as to render aid as needed.
Our goal is to keep your student in class as much as possible to help ensure the greatest academic success. We want to partner with our parents and ask that you have conversations with your student about the fact that their school has a nurse and when they should visit the clinic. Those instances are: if they are needing medication, having difficulty breathing, in need of emergency care (such as a suspected broken bone, head injury or bleeding) or vomiting and/or fever. Please understand that the nurse is not able to administer seasonal allergy or cold medication unless you have provided the proper documentation and medication in advance.
Thank you for helping us keep our students safe, well and in the classroom as much as possible.
Regards,
Prosper ISD Health Services
Dismissal Reminders
- We will continue to dismiss A-L in the front and M-Z in the back, with Kinder dismissing at the bus loop.
*If you have a student in Kinder and a student in an upper grade, they will both be dismissed from the Kinder car line.
- Walkers will be dismissed through two designated locations, the gym and music room. Walkers MUST utilize the crosswalks with crossing guards.
- Parents must have the school provided car tag to pick up their student at the gym, or in a car line.
