Receiving a college acceptance letter or scholarship is validating! Celebrate each and every one! Keep in mind that a college or scholarship rejection letter should not feel like the end of the world. Use them as experiences and build on them. It is also an important time to avoid procrastination, try not to slack off, avoid senioritis! If you are attending college or entering the workforce, it's important to feel motivated to prepare for your next steps! Keep a good balance between your social life and academics. This is the key to success in and out of school.
ATTENTION UNO Merit-Based Scholarship Recipients
UNO has updated their awarding process for merit-based scholarships. This includes the Regents, Chancellors, Deans, Maverick, and Faculty Scholarships. You must accept these scholarships no later then May 1 by returning your signed agreement for UNO's merit based scholarships. The acceptance letter for these scholarships have been mailed to you. If you have misplaced it, you can log into MavLINK, go to Profile (on the left side toolbar), and view notices sent. UNO Financial Aid office prefers that students upload their letter via MavLINK, but if you have problems with that process you can email it to unofinaid@unomaha.edu.
If you have questions about this process please see Mr. Caruso in the Counseling Center.
