Dear Students
You can self refer to speak to me in private about anything that is worrying or upsetting you. Just send me a message at talk@halcyonschool.com. I work with students both individually and in small groups. Some young people come for a one off session and others for a longer period of time. I look forward to working alongside some of you.

I would like to order the Student ID card sometime this week. I have not received the payment from many students. Would the following students (if they still want an ID card) who requested for one please bring £8 pounds by today or tomorrow.
If you don't wish to order a card anymore, don't bring the money by Friday and I will take your name off the list.

Football Club on Thursdays
There are still spaces for Thursday's Football Club (Girls AND BOYS mixed).
If you didn't get to play in the match last night, why not come along to Thursday's session?
We'd really love to see some new players, old players, boys and girls - and all abilities are welcome!
The bus leaves Halcyon at 15.45 to go the training ground. At 17.00, Students can make their own way home from the Westway Sports Centre (nearest station: Ladbroke Grove) or they can be accompanied on the Tube (Oyster Card needed), arriving back to school at 17.30.
We also have a very impressive new football, which is still begging to be played with!
Reminder: Fire & Intruder Alarm Test - 10.30
You will not need to evacuate the building unless the alarm continues to sound.
GIN Club members:
Interested in debate?
Interested in debate; tired of adults making inept decisions; do you struggle with the important issues; is it 'education, education, education' or do you believe it is 'the economy stupid'; do you say 'yes we can' more than Obama, are you interested in making a stand and making a change.
Everyone has to start somewhere, start today after school with model united nations club. Everyone is welcome and you could get the opportunity to debate at Halcyon MUN.

To Grade 10 students!
Dear FutureLearner,
We’ve just teamed up with 11 of our partner universities, to offer a range of free online courses for young adults, called FutureLearn Choices, starting in June.
The courses offer 16 to 19 year olds the chance to:
try out new subjects: such as coding, robotics or forensic science, to get a taste of a degree or career in the field
make a great university application: with advice on writing personal statements and preparing for interviews
get ready for university: by gaining skills such as critical thinking or the advanced maths that’s required for degree-level study.
You can find out more and join any of the courses at:
www.futurelearn.com/collections/choices
