Eastview 4-Day Model: April 20
April 13, 2021
Beginning Tuesday, April 20, we will increase our hybrid learning model from two days a week to four days a week. This model allows for our students to attend Eastview on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday.
Wednesdays will remain a distance learning day with opportunities for in-person support at Eastview.
The 196 Digital Academy full-time distance learning program continues to be an option for any family for the remainder of this school year.
- Students in Cohort A and B will increase in-person learning days from two days per week to four days per week (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday).
- Cohort C students (Digital Academy) will follow their schedule and Zoom with each of their classes for four days per week (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday).
Our Wednesdays will continue to be asynchronous/independent learning days with opportunities for student support and interventions. Students are welcome to be at EVHS for support with food service, mental health, stable WIFI, or a structured learning environment with transportation available (2 hours later than normal bus times).
Please take time to familiarize yourself with the information provided here. Our dedicated teachers, counselors, and support staff are ready to make the most of our final eight weeks of learning. And, we all share the responsibility for keeping our students safe and preserving our valuable learning time together.
If we have missed a detail in the information below to which you have a question, please let us know and we will get you the answer. Please know that there will be more information coming to you as it is developed.

Due to the increased number of students at Eastview, the number of students who will be required to quarantine will increase.
- Individuals that are distanced at 6 feet or more throughout the day will not quarantine.
- In most of our classrooms, students will be within 6 feet distance from each other resulting in an increased number of quarantines requirements.
- Close contact is defined as contact with inside 6 feet with a lab-confirmed COVID positive case for a combined 15 minutes or longer in a single 24 hour period.
See below for quarantine guidelines for individuals who are fully vaccinated. (Quarantine Guidance for Vaccinated Individuals (updated as of April 7, 2021)
REMINDER: Daily Self-Health Checks Remain Important!
Let's commit to each other to:
- Be Aware and Monitor our health each day (see link below for a symptoms checklist)
- Wash our hands properly.
- Maintain six feet of physical distance when possible.
- Wear masks/face coverings.
- Show care for our community-#EastviewTogether!

2. I have not been in close contact with anyone within the last 14 days who has been quarantined or isolated due to COVID-19.
3. I have not been advised by any medical provider or health authority that I may have been exposed to COVID-19.

Any student or faculty/staff member who is in close contact with another person who tests positive for COVID19 will be required to quarantine for 14 days and is encouraged to get a COVID19 test. Close contact is defined as being within 6 feet of the person testing positive (masked or not) for 15 minutes or more or living in the same household.
REMINDER: Before and After School
- Eastview will open at 7:15am. The school day ends at 1:42 and students must leave the building at that time (unless they are rostered in a cocurricular activity scheduled for that day or receiving support directly with a teacher). Please plan your transportation to and from Eastview to allow for these times.
- When students enter the building they will have two options; either to eat breakfast or go directly to their first period classroom.
- Students participating in cocurricular athletic and other activities that are led by an adult Eastview program leader, and are on the program’s roster, will be allowed to remain in the building on in-person learning days in a supervised study hall in the east students commons while waiting for practice or rehearsal to begin, if needed, between 1:42pm (end of school day) and 3:00pm (start of practice).
NOTE: Under pandemic circumstances, the school is not a place for students to congregate before or after school. The social distancing precautions mean that students are not to be dropped off before 7:15am and must exit the building by 1:50pm. Students who don’t eat breakfast must report to their first period class upon arrival. Students will NOT be allowed to congregate and will be directed to breakfast or their first period class each morning.
- For students in our District 196 Academy, the building will open at 3:00pm to arrive for cocurricular activities.
Parking Permits
Any/all outstanding fees/fines must be paid in full in order to receive a parking permit; fees/fines may be paid online or in person at the Eastview High School Main Office. New permits can be picked up from Ms. Hauge at the Security Office near the west student entrance (door #1).
