Cuisine
Paloo consists of pieces of meat (generally mutton or beef, but sometimes chicken) fried in a large qazan (a cast-iron cauldron) and mixed with fried shredded carrots, jiucai and cooked rice. The dish is garnished with whole fried garlic cloves and hot red peppers.
Tourist Attraction
It was the site of an ancient metropolis 2,500 years ago, and archaeological excavations are ongoing. Lake Issyk Kul was a stopover on the Silk Road. Many historians believe that the lake was the point of origin for the Black Death that plagued Europe and Asia during the early and mid-14th century.
Festivals
Nowruz is the traditional new year festival of Kyrgyzstan. It originated in Persia in one of the capitals of the Achaemenid empire in Persis (Fars) in Iran. Nowruz is celebrated on the vernal equinox. The moment the sun crosses the celestial equator and equalizes night and day is calculated exactly every year and families gather together to observe the rituals.
This spring holiday is celebrated with feasts and festivities such as the horse game Ulak Tartish.

Culture
Among the cultures of Kyrgyzstan includes the Manas, an epic poem; Komuz, a three-stringed lute; Tush kyiz, large, elaborately embroidered wall hangings; Shirdak, a flat cushions made in shadow-pairs and falconry.
Horse riding plays an important role in Kyrgyzstan's culture. Kyz Kuumai is where a man chases a girl in order to win a kiss from her, while she gallops away; if he is not successful she may in turn chase him and attempt to beat him with her "kamchi" (horsewhip).
