NEWSLETTER | TERM 2 | WEEK 4 | 17 MAY 2023
Last week, the Year 6 students enjoyed a fun-filled 3-day camp. They participated in activities such as abseiling, crate climbing, caving and kite making. They also enjoyed an afternoon at the beach, followed by s’more making by the campfire.
A Prayer for Friendship
We celebrate the amazing gift of friendship in our school.
Let us give thanks for the bonds that bring us joy and unity.
Lord, bless our friendships with kindness and love.
Help us appreciate our differences and create a community that embraces everyone.
Guide us to be good friends, offering support and care.
May our friendships bring joy in happy times and strength in tough times.
Lord, may our friendships be a guiding light, reminding us we're never alone.
Help us treasure these precious connections.
In the spirit of friendship, we offer this prayer with gratitude.
Amen.

Dear Parents and Carers
P&F
A very big thank you to our wonderful P&F for their time in making and sourcing items for our Mother’s Day stall and for their time in running this event for our students. The effort our P&F representatives put into supporting our school by providing our students with meaningful and memorable events should be applauded. Our P&F representatives have very busy lives, but they give tirelessly of their time to serve our community. We are incredibly grateful to them, and we would encourage other families to join this amazing group of community-minded people, who support a culture in our school of belonging and feeling welcome. We would love for other families to join our P&F. If you are interested, please contact administration.
Late Arrivals
We have noticed many children arriving after the 8.30am school start time, some as late as 20 minutes. Children who arrive late are missing out on vital literacy time and we ask families struggling to get children to school on time, to consider what they can change in their morning routine to ensure that children arrive at school by 8.30am. We are here to support you and if you need any assistance in structuring a morning routine to support your child, please speak to your child’s classroom teacher.
School Advisory Council and P&F
We have Committee positions on both the School Advisory Council and the P&F that have recently become vacant.
The School Advisory Council needs a Treasurer and meets once a term. You do not need any special finance or accounting qualifications to take on this role. Our P&F Committee needs someone in the role of Vice-Chair. The P&F meet twice a term. If you are interested in supporting your school community by offering your time in either of these positions, we ask that you please contact the front office to speak to the principal.
Sacrament of Confirmation
Our Year 6 Confirmation candidates are making final preparations to receive the Sacrament of Confirmation next weekend. The Sacrament of Confirmation helps strengthen our relationship with God and equips us to be better witnesses to Christ in our communities. We ask that all families keep our Year 6 Confirmation Candidates in their prayers.
God bless you all.
