It's Time for Dr. Chattman's SPRINGO Challenge!

Due to the overwhelming popularity of Dr. Chattman's Marshmallow Reading Challenge, she has created a Springtime version just in time for Spring Break. Students are challenged to complete at least one "SPRINGO" over the next week. Each time you complete a square, you may color it in or put a giant "X" over it. All cards need to be returned to your homeroom teachers by Monday, April 9th.

The class with the most # of SPRINGOS will win an ice cream party with Dr. Chattman. Any student who completes the entire card (blackout) will be entered into a drawing to win a special prize. Look for your card in today's courier. Good Luck, Have fun, and Happy Reading!

You can help by taking the following steps on testing days:

  1. Limit evening activities prior to testing so that adequate time is provided for rest.
  2. Discuss the importance of testing with your son/daughter.
  3. Provide a nutritious breakfast.
  4. Ensure your child is present and on time each morning. If possible, please avoid scheduling doctor/dentist appointments during the testing period.
  5. Make sure students have their lunches and other items needed when they arrive at school. We cannot deliver any forgotten items to students on testing days.
  6. If an issue arises that may impact your child’s performance, please contact a school counselor.

If you have any questions regarding any aspect of testing, please contact the school at 678-874-2702

A small technicality...

Some of you may have noticed aftercare absences showing up in your student's infinite campus profile recently. All Evansdale students are enrolled in ASP, so if and when you see this and your child does not attend aftercare, please ignore.

Thanks.
