Next Step in Guided Reading

Professional Development Opportunity for K-2 Teachers

Emergent, Early Stages & Transitional Stages

Educators will use the book Next Steps in Guided Reading (if you have the first edition Next Step book you may use that one as well) as a guide to learn an approach to guided reading instruction. Participants will analyze reading assessments to plan instruction, collaboratively plan guided reading lessons, view a lesson being taught, and design meaningful literacy stations. Implementation and coaching back in district will be follow-up for all participants.
