WELCOME TO 2ND QUARTER!
We were excited to welcome students on campus for in-person learning today. If you haven’t seen it yet, please view the CHS COVID-19 Safety Plan video so you know what to expect at CHS in-person. Let’s have a strong second quarter, Wolves!
THEATRE NEWS
CHS Theatre has had a great quarter despite the challenges Covid-19 has presented! Each quarter CHS Theatre typically has a live Showcase performance that features what my students have been working on in class over the 8 weeks. Since they did not get to have that live performance this quarter, they put together a virtual one featuring Theatre Arts 1 performing their Greek Scenes and Theatre Arts 3 performing their Theatre for Life Lessons original scenes. Additionally, APAC/Company Theatre's quarter 1 culminating performance of Bookends: Fairy Tales was shared with several K-3rd grade classrooms throughout the district with rave reviews! Congratulations, CHS Theatre!

FRESHMAN ORIENTATION
Thanks to all of our freshmen who participated in yesterday’s orientation! Link Crew and StuCo sponsored a great event that introduced students to others, acclimated them to campus, and showed them what it means to be a Wolf. Special thanks to the McDonald’s at Ray and Arizona Ave. for sponsoring lunch for our student leaders.
AZ LANGUAGE ASSOCIATION PRESENTER
Mrs. Melanie Mello, CHS German Teacher, co-presented “Making Reading Fun (while Achieving High Outcomes)" at the annual fall conference of the Arizona Language Association. Their presentation was one of 16 presentations for the day, and many attendees chose to attend the presentation. With a great presentation and outstanding evaluations, Ms. Mello has been asked to represent Arizona at the 2021 Conference of the Southwest Conference on Language Teaching. Congratulations!
DOUBLE THE ENDURANCE
