Students in Action - Valentine's Day Fun
What Will We Be Learning This Week?
Math
We will be continuing Unit 5 in Math Expressions, which covers fractions, decimals, and probability.
Language Arts
We will continue reading Blue.
We have started working on intensive fluency and repeated rereading activities. These are designed to help students read fluently, with good speed and intonation. These activities are done in partners while other reading groups are working on comprehension skills with me or Mrs. Lominac.
Social Studies
This week we will learn about the Lewis & Clark Expedition and the Louisiana Purchase.
We will continue researching Australia and Africa for our school's International Day activities that will be coming up in April.
Science
We will continue reading Mixing Matter over the next week or so. This is currently shared with students in the Google Drive accounts under the "incoming" link on the left.
The unit test for Matter: Properties and Change will be postponed to 3/6.
