Students should also NOT use their phones in the halls to call parents/guardians. Please do not allow them to "step" outside to use their phones. If a student is in need of contacting home, please direct them to the office. Once there, they any either use the school phone or their personal phone.

TCU Research Opportunity for students
TCU has an outstanding research opportunity for Secondary students: the Research Apprentices Program. Students are paired with TCU professors who provide research opportunities concerning topics of interest to the student.
These research opportunities have led to paid and unpaid internships for BISD students, and the first two BISD Seniors who participated in this program graduated just this year.
Both cited the TCU program on their student resumes. One received $160,000 in scholarships and is continuing his research at university, and the other received $175,000 in scholarships and is on a full ride at university. These research opportunities make learning more relevant to our students and immerse them in college activities at an early age.
It also helps them decide what career choice may be of most interest to them. At this writing, we have middle and high school students participating in the Research Apprentices Program, and hope your students may join them!
CTE Showcase at BHS
Students will remain in Pack class for the day. They will work on science and social studies lessons while on campus.
