The Bibliotheraphy Edition
What is Bibliotherapy
Definition: The use of books for help in solving personal problems or for psychiatric therapy.
This is not to say that if you use 'bibliotherapy' your child needs psychiatric help, has a disorder or has mental problems in any way. Bibliotherapy can be used in those situations, but I use it daily in my classroom for all kids. I find it is just easier for children to identify with a character or situation in a book rather than recognize these feelings or situation in themselves.
