Valhalla Elementary kicks off its annual Read-a-thon on March 31. This is an event we love because it is designed to enrich students' lives with reading while raising money to support the things we love about Valhalla. You can help [NAME] develop a lifelong love of learning through reading with your support. Are you in? If so I will sign you up on [NAME]'s pledge form. You can sponsor [him/her/them] with a flat rate (ex. $25) or by the minute (ex. $0.10/min) or by the hour (ex. $1/hr). At the end of the Read-a-thon on April 14, I will let you know the total time [NAME] spent reading and we can celebrate with a victory dance. You can then visit http://bit.ly/3r9QqLD to make your donation. Thank you for sponsoring [NAME] in [his/her/their] 2-week quest to read as much as possible because reading is our superpower.
We have hard copies of all of the above documents in the office.

A note from our VPFA President:
Dear Valhalla Families,
It was so wonderful to see campus open again last week and what a great welcoming vibe our teachers and staff presented! A special thank you to Natalie Krouse and Kumi Trickey for putting together a display in the bulletin board area.
I am excited for the coming weeks for all learners, hybrid and distance, to participate in our readathon. This is our biggest fundraiser this year, so please work to get sponsors, but more importantly, all students can be a part of it, just by reading! Check out all the great activities and info on the readathon website: https://ischoolsjsu.libguides.com/ValhallaReadaThon/Home Huge kudos for Julie McPherson for putting all of this together.
We have had some very successful restaurant fundraisers the past few months. Thank you to Jacks Pleasant Hill, DVC RoundTable Pizza and Taco Daddy’s for partnering with us. Together, they have raised nearly $700 for VPFA. Which restaurant would you like us to partner with next? Please let us know at vpfapresident@gmail.com.
There are still lots of opportunities for positions for next school year. We will be presenting our slate for all nominated positions this month, so please let us know if you are interested. If you would like more information, please check out our webpage www.valhallavpfa.com and click on the VPFA Manual link. Or you can email vpfapresident@gmail.com with specific questions.
We encourage you to attend the VPFA meeting on Wednesday April 21st at 6pm via zoom:
