A message from the Principal...
How is the school year going so far? We hope you can say GREAT! We are so happy to say we feel like things are going really well so far - the students are working hard to do their best. This can be seen in how they treat each other, how much effort they give, how they try again when they make a mistake, and how they are showing what it looks like, sounds like, and feels like to be a true RAD Radier!
Accelerate Education Workbooks are here!
The workbooks for Accelerate Education, our virtual program, arrived last week! Workbooks are available for pickup at the Orchard Primary Office during school hours.
Arrival and Dismissal
Parents are strongly encouraged to wear a mask during arrival and dismissal at Orchard Primary. Students MUST wear a mask during arrival and dismissal. This is a great precaution we can take to help keep our students and families safe!
Students should not be running around the front walkway, grassy area, or near the bus loop after being released by their teacher. This is a safety issue and our number one priority is to help keep our OP kids safe! Please pick up your students and walk safely to the parking lot.
Stand Up and Be Counted! October 7th is Count Day!
Students are asked to wear a shirt with a number on it for Count Day, Wednesday, October 7th so everyone can Stand Up and Be Counted! Please make sure it is a number your child can read as we are going to turn this fun day into a math lesson to add up our classroom totals and our building total!
Lifetouch Picture Retakes October 29, 2020
Orchard Primary Retake Day! EVTRP6899
Virtual Students may come before school to get their picture taken! 7:30-8:30 AM

Water Bottles
Students are encouraged to bring a full water bottle to school every day! Our drinking fountains are turned off and we are awaiting the arrival of our touchless filling stations. Water bottles will come home each night and need to be refilled at home. Please make sure your child's name is on the bottle.
While we wait for the filling stations to arrive and be installed, ACS has purchased bottled water in case a child needs a refill during the day.
OP's Parking Lots
Families who drop off/pick up their students, please refrain from parking on the grass. We are so fortunate to have a larger parking lot on the south end with plenty of spots available. Thank you for your cooperation in helping to keep OP looking its best by staying off the grass with your vehicle.
Halloween Costumes..
Halloween is around the corner and we'd like to mention a few Halloween reminders as you begin your search for the perfect costume. Students may wear their costumes at school, but remember costumes must be age-appropriate, please no gore, no weapons, and no face paint. There will be no Halloween parade or Parent Volunteers in classrooms this year. Students will not be permitted to bring in candy or goodie bags for their classmates. Classroom teachers will share more information specific to their classroom as Halloween approaches.
Dismissal Changes...
Unforeseen circumstances happen, we totally get it! If your pick-up plan must change through the school day, please contact our office by 2:00 p.m. to ensure we have enough time to get the change to your child's teacher. Thank you!
