Instructional Focus....
The 3rd-6th grade teams were very reflective in their own practices during a Wendy Peterson training on Friday. We have a curriculum that can help us push rigor and better prepare us for ReadyGen and AzMERIT.
Kindergarten was encouraged and excited to implement the new ideas presented by Crystal Udall on Wednesday.
We have A LOT of training going on during a short amount of time. There's a possibility that you will feel overwhelmed in the coming days, but it's important to breathe. These all day trainings are like "getting a drink from a fire hydrant." There is a lot to take in! As a team, reflect and decide one thing a week to try and keep each other accountable. Don't be afraid to fail in the beginning, it's expected when you try something for the first time. Pick each other up, reflect and try again.
Thanks for all your continued hard work!
Permission for Movies...
I know that there are some grade levels that choose to watch movies at the end of the semester, so I wanted to make the permission form easy to find:

Changes to MLP....
Help Needed on the Playground....
It is absolutely essential that you spread out from your colleagues during duty. Be strategic about where you stand so that between the group that's on duty, you are able to see the whole playground, paying special attention to any "hot spots."
Central Christian Church.....
The church will be cancelling services on April 7, and encouraging their congregation to go serve at a local school. We will have between 50-100 volunteers on campus, they pay up to $500 for supplies for projects, and in years past they have made a large donation to our PTSO, as well as, purchased a gift for all staff members.
I am excited to get some things done around campus. If you have an idea for a school beautification project, please let me know!
Teacher/Support Staff of the Year Nomination.....
Remember, I need these completed by Friday, December 14.
