K-8 Parent Leaders Review School Work Plan Information
Members of our PTA joined principals and district office Staff from all primary and middle schools in West Linn-Wilsonville on Wednesday, May 31 for our third collaboration meeting of the 2022-23 school year. We spent the evening diving into our school work plan, reviewing goals, data, and progress in various areas. Conversations reflected on the 2022-23 school year while thinking ahead toward next school year as well. We also brainstormed how discussions and school work plan information can be brought to our school-level PTA meetings in the future for further parent-guardian engagement. We’re excited to continue this conversation next school year!

Summer Gardening at Bolton
It's time to start organizing summer care in our school garden. During the summer months, our space is supported by families that come to water and harvest. This ensures that the garden will be alive and lush when students return to school. During your families week of care, you are able to harvest what is ripe and take it home with you. Handicap Parking Spaces
Please be aware of our handicap parking spaces during arrival and pickup. There have been concerns shared that cars are using these spaces without a permit.
Pedestrian Gates
Bolton is implementing safety changes to be in alignment with recommendations from the District Safety Leadership Team:
- All pedestrian gates will be locked after students arrive (between 7:55-8) and will be unlocked prior to dismissal (around 1:45). There are three along Holmes Street and two behind the school.
- Preschool families will be dropping off and picking up at the main entrance.
Please let me know if you have questions regarding these changes or if you have suggestions for future safety ideas.

Chromebook Damage Policy
District Chromebook Damage Policy Begins October 18
Beginning October 18, West Linn-Wilsonville schools will charge fees for damages to Chromebooks that are checked out to students. Examples of Chromebook damage could include broken keys or keyboards, screen damage, or lost or broken power cords. The district provided grace for damaged devices during remote learning and the pandemic. This change is necessary to ensure that the district maintains an ample supply of functioning Chromebooks for schools and students, however.
Students who no longer require Chromebooks at home are asked to return them to their school. Students, particularly in high school, who have properly checked out a Chromebook this school year do not need to return their device. Families may return damaged or unneeded Chromebooks to their school through October 17 without incurring any fees for damaged devices.
Fee amounts will depend on the severity of damage. Money collected from damaged Chromebooks will allow for devices to be repaired or replaced.
