Book Club Meets This Thursday!
West End Book Club will meet this Thursday at 8:00am in the library. All students are invited. They may pick up a signup form in the library this week. The first book we will be reading is The Honest Truth by Dan Gemeinhart.
"It's never too late for the adventure of a lifetime.
In all the ways that matter, Mark is a normal kid. He's got a dog named Beau and a best friend, Jessie. He likes to take photos and write haiku poems in his notebook. He dreams of climbing a mountain one day.
But in one important way, Mark is not like other kids at all. Mark is sick. The kind of sick that means hospitals. And treatments. The kind of sick some people never get better from.
So Mark runs away. He leaves home with his camera, his notebook, his dog, and a plan. A plan to reach the top of Mount Rainier. Even if it's the last thing he ever does.
The Honest Truth is a rare and extraordinary novel about big questions, small moments, and one incredible journey." ~Barnes and Noble
The book club will be Skyping with the author in September.
A couple of troubleshooting tips for computers before you send in a tech work order with ServicePro
- If your computer is having a hard time letting kids log on, hardwire it up to an internet cord and restart it. This often makes the computer remember its login process.
- If your computer is still having a hard time connecting to the internet, make sure the internet button has not been accidently pushed off. It's found on a function button and looks like an antennae. There should be a light on your computer when the internet is engaged.
