Dear Wildcat Families,
It's December, and that means the weather forecast is getting colder! We do go out to recess most days so it is important that students have warm coats and shoes for outside. If your child is missing their coat, please have them check out lost and found! We have many student coats and hats just waiting to be claimed. Please be sure your child's name is in their coat, so it can be returned if left on the playground.
Please be sure to check our district website www.fpschools.org for news regarding late starts or snow days.
We have only two weeks until winter break, but we are still working on important learning every day. Please be sure to check in with your child about what they should be practicing at home. Remember, all students should read for 20 minutes and practice math facts daily. Report cards go home on Friday, so your child's teacher may also comment on other areas where your child can practice.
Finally, today you should have received an email from Panorama Education to complete a survey to be used to help guide district and school planning efforts. Your input is very valuable to us and we would greatly appreciate your time in completing this survey!
In January, we will be hosting a Central Avenue Town Hall to share information about our positive schoolwide behavioral systems. Please look for more information to come regarding the specifics!
We hope you have a wonderful holiday season. It's great to be a Wildcat!
Mrs. Middling, Principal

IMPORTANT FPS HEALTH UPDATE
IMPORTANT FPS HEALTH UPDATE (November 21, 2022):
Franklin Pierce Schools is experiencing an increase in circulating respiratory viruses in our community, as well as in our schools. There has been an increase in influenza, RSV, COVID-19, and other common colds. Please do your part to help keep our community well!
Prevent illness
Get Vaccinated: The best way to prevent the flu or covid is to get vaccinated. Vaccines are available in our community. Please check with TPCHD to find a clinic near you: https://www.tpchd.org/healthy-people/immunizations
Wash your hands: Handwashing, especially after sneezing, coughing, or nose wiping, can help prevent infections. Always wash your hands before eating, and after using the restroom. Clean surfaces with soap and water, or disinfect as needed.
If you get sick
Stay home when you are sick to help prevent germs from spreading to others. If you or your child experiences difficulty breathing, difficulty drinking enough fluids, or symptoms of severe illness, please seek medical assistance from your health provider, or emergency services as needed. Please wear a mask if you must go out while still experiencing symptoms of illness.
Thank you and Stay Well!
