Kindergarten Kingdom News...

Mrs. Johnson's and Mrs. Lawlor's Kindergarten Class

We are learning...

Reading and Language Arts: We read books about the ocean this week. We also talked about inflectional endings- ed and ing. Students wrote a personal narrative about a fun place they have been with their family. It was fun to read about all of the exciting places students have visited!

Math: We are practicing addition, subtraction, numbers to 100, and patterns. We are working on improving our fact fluency so that we will be ready for First grade "Mad Minutes!" (How many facts you can complete in one minute?)

Science/ Social Studies: We are learning about ocean animals. We talked about how different ocean animals live in different layers of the ocean. Next week is "SHARK" week in Kindergarten!
