WEBSTORE UPDATE - HATS

If you ordered hats you may pick them up with Kristin in the main office. If your son is an 8th grader the freshman coaches will be picking them up and delivering them as soon as possible.

Weather Updates

It needs to stop raining. It is incredibly hard evaluating players when you don't have field time with them. Also, we only have two weeks before games so please be patient early in the season and give coaches time to give players practice opportunities to show what they can do. It may be a longer process than usual.

STRIKE OUT THE STIGMA

Western Dubuque HS Baseball will play in the Strike Out the Stigma-You Matter Mental Health Awareness & Prevention Game on May 25th at Prairie HS. Austin Byler, a 2x MLB Draft Pick and 2x All-American will speak between games. We will wear special jerseys & hats that evening. There is a webstore flyer pictrue if you want to support this great cause.

Make sure your physical is up-to-date. Sports physicals are current if they have happened within the last 12 months. You are not allowed to practice or play without an up-to-date physical.

pants = any white pant with a black piping can be worn.

Undershirt = any black WD shirt can be worn

Hat = Can be purchased at the main office of the school $22

Equipment = Dicks, online, Monticello Sports, etc...

Jerseys are provided.

GRADES 8-9 NEWS

Freshman team Practices

Epworth Centennial Park does not handle water well. Often times Freshman teams are last in line for the indoor facilities during the end of the spring sport activities. We have to patient and let those varsity teams have priority for facilities while they get ready for state tournament events.

Varsity Summer Schedule


Hitting practices are planned in April for Varsity/JV. They will hit Monday and Thursday from 4:30-6:30 PM at Farley Park or Delaney's (depending on weather). This begins April 4th.



  • Players out for other sports this spring can come after their practices are over to get some swings in.
