Team:
The CEIC will convene April 18 to receive feedback on the current year goals and begin drafting goals for next year.
As a staff, I would like to get your input before we leave for the summer on goals for the campus improvement plan. This plan will drive our work for next year. If you would like to provide feedback and help write these goals/action steps please commit to begin on the Campus Improvement Team. We will convene the morning of May 29 (which is a Student Holiday/Workday). We will work until the goals are written. Please email me with the title "CIT volunteer" and let me know about your interest. The committee can be of any size...I just need your input.
Thanks again for being flexible with the AM/PM meetings this week. Hopefully you understand a little more about our process with Ideal Impact and the situation with the budget.
I sent out information to each of you about your summative meeting. Please read and follow up with me to confirm a) the time I recommended or b) a time you would rather meet. Please let me know ASAP.
Finally, our cafeteria engagement plan worked...we had coverage for Monday and everything went well (or so I've heard!). I'll be out again on Monday...so the "Wednesday" team will be up for covering the entire lunch. Reminder...the teams are "named" so you will remember which day you need to report to "flex duty" or the last 10 minutes of lunch on that day which is reserved for recess. This plan is in effect right now...so Friday team will do Friday Flex time etc.
Make note, I have added a Counselor's Corner, which Mrs. Weiser is utilizing to send you information weekly as well.
Have a wonderful weekend!
Eagle Excellence Every Day!
Counselor's Corner
Our 8th grade students revamped the poster to emphasize the importance of each trait and make them more kid friendly. I will be having those printed and displaying those in the hallways. We would like to print them for your classrooms as well so that you can reinforce these traits in your classroom on a daily basis.
Showcase of Learning is April 25th and 5th grade transition day is also that morning. In order for the 5th grade transition day to be effective the 6th grade displays need to be set up on April 24th in the old gym and 7th and 8th grade can set up in the afternoon of the 25th or also set up the day before. I realize this makes things more complicated but we wanted to showcase what the 5th graders can expect to be learning in sixth grade.
I am grateful I work with amazing teachers and appreciate your support.
FINALLY..... IMAGE TO HELP US GET THROUGH THE REST OF THE YEAR!
Kudos
Jackie Dodd for winning the staff member of the month award for April!
