Learning, Growing, Succeeding Every Person Every Day
Principal Message
We are now officially a month into school. I have enjoyed being out and getting know the students and being in the classrooms. Throughout the month I have also been able to attend many of different events students are involved in at South. I continue to see all the great opportunities students have and the amount of talent our students possess. The staff and I are dedicated to support all the students at South and continue to create a safe, supportive, and successful learning environment for all students.
As October has begun, I am looking forward to the upcoming week with Homecoming and Southfest! We also have Parent-Teacher Conferences this month on October 17th. I encourage all of you to come in and meet with your child's teacher during this time. There is also a couple musical performances this month with the orchestra concert, the band and choir concert, and the Waukesha High School Jazz Band concert.
I will also be hosting parent and principal meetings that have been done in the past. I will be calling it "Evening Chat with the Principal" with the first one being on Wednesday, October 16th at 5:00pm. I will also share the same information that I share at the Evening Chat with the Principal at Coffee with the Principal at 8:15am on Thursday, October 17th. I will continue these meetings every month and share out information with the parents/guardians, answer questions, as well as listen to feedback. Following the meetings, I will share the presentation on the website for anyone that wasn't able to attend. Everyone is welcome to attend these meetings.
Please don't hesitate to reach out to me anytime. I am excited to be here at South High School, and I look forward to partnering with staff, parents/guardians, and students to make South safe and successful learning environment for all students.

Attire
*Homecoming is considered a semi-formal event. Boys are encouraged to wear a combination of dress pants, collared shirt, and tie. Girls are encouraged to wear appropriate length dresses. The school dress code does apply at all school functions.
*Personal belongings (purses, cameras, jackets, electronic items, etc.) must be checked into the coat check in the cafeteria. We are not allowed to check shoes in the coat check area. This area will be monitored by staff; however the school is not responsible for these personal belongings. Students with specific medical needs will be allowed to keep appropriate personal items with them.
Conduct
*Do not arrive early to the dance. The doors will not open before 8:00 PM. Students who arrive early will have to wait outside.
*Students who leave the dance for any reason will not be admitted back to the dance.
*All students and guests must have their student ID to enter the dance.
*All school rules apply at the dance. BE RESPONSIBLE, BE RESPECTFUL, BE READY, BE A BLACKSHIRT
*Each dance attendee will be given a bracelet that is to be worn throughout the dance. All dance attendees must refrain from inappropriate types of dancing. Chaperones have the right to cut off the bracelet at any time. Taking off a student’s wristband is a warning. If the student needs to be addressed a second time for inappropriate behavior, they will be asked to leave and a parent will be contacted.
*We will be conducting random breathalyzers at the entrance to the dance. Each student will pick from a bag of chips. If a student receives a blue chip, they will be given a breathalyzer from a Waukesha Police Department Officer.
