Welcome from Mrs. Donnell
We have made it through one full week of school! Staff and students are getting back into the routine of school. Everyone on the CCS staff has been prayerfully working hard to make each student feel welcome and loved.
I want to personally thank all of the staff, students and families for their patience. All of our new changes were challenging at first but everyone has been committed to making things flow successfully. The elementary staff has done a great job of using our “Teach To’s” with our Pre-K to 5th graders. They are learning our expectations and doing a great job meeting them. Our Middle School staff has been evaluating all of the 6th, 7th and 8th graders to make sure that we are meeting their needs. The High School staff has been diligently working to integrate the new 90 minute Block Schedule. The High School students have been wonderful as we have had to work through a couple of schedule changes.
Monday starts another new week and all high school schedules should be set and we will be preparing for our Middle School/High School Retreat. Our students and staff are pumped about what God has in store for us at Hilltop next week. Thank you all for your continued prayers and patience. Just know that each staff person at CCS is prayerfully loving on each of your children everyday!
Have a blessed weekend!
In Christ’s Love

You can manage which calendars you want to see by clicking on "My Calendars” on the left side and clicking on “Manage Calendars” on the drop down box. Also, you can unselect “District of Columbus Christian” because that is basically used for bigger school districts like Bartholomew Consolidated.

Columbus Christian School is excited to begin a “legacy” program for our K-5th grade students this year. We are working in conjunction with Reverend Ron Bridgewater, ECCC and the CMF Child Sponsorship program (www.cmfi.org). Each of our classes K-5th grade has chosen their own age-level child through CMF to sponsor and “adopt” as their own classmate. The goal is for our CCS students to create a long distance, long term relationship with their “adopted” classmate and to understand the difference they can make across the world. Through the monthly sponsorship fee ($38.00 per child) our students will be assisting a child with food, necessary medical needs and most importantly an education that includes spiritual development. The classes will be corresponding with their “adopted” classmate through their 12th grade year. We are encouraging all K-5th grade students to bring offering to Wednesday chapel services and the money will be used for the CMF sponsorships of each class. Please help us, help your children understand the mission of CMF and CCS in building God’s Kingdom.
