Spring has arrived!!!

Greetings Woodcrest families,

With the end of the school year in sight we are balancing the excitement for the summer break ahead with a commitment to continued engaging and meaningful learning for each of our students. Please know that traditional end-of-year celebrations are going to be personalized by homeroom teachers to meet the specific needs of their classrooms. The maintenance of our health and safety protocols continues to be a priority. Your child’s homeroom teacher will reach out to you with information regarding end-of-year details.

A number of families have asked about how we are responding to the new health and safety recommendations from the CDC and the state. Please know that we will continue to wear face masks following clarifications for schools from the CDC and Minnesota Departments of Education and Health. Additionally, we are expecting updated guidance from the CDC in the next few weeks for next year. We are excited for a return to more normalcy at school.

I know that many of us are looking forward to the breath of fresh air summer break will bring. It will be much easier to enjoy that fresh air when we can finally leave our face masks behind. That said, thank you for your patience and partnership as we continue with our health and safety efforts here at school through the end of the school year.

If, over the next few weeks, you have any questions about how things are going for your child here at Woodcrest, please do not hesitate to reach out to me.

I thank each of you for your continued partnership in making this year a success.
