Ready to Go!

Are you ready for the Best School Year Yet? EVERYONE Counts!

We've seen a lot of staff changes this year and I know that can be unsettling. We experience staff changes every year as staff have to move on to other adventures that work best for them and their families. They have been sad to leave. Mrs. Duffy and Mrs. Newton wanted to share these words with you-

Dear St. Anna families,

I am very sad that I will not be returning to St. Anna's for the coming school year. It is truly a family and I have appreciated getting to know all of the students, families, and faculty. I will miss everyone very much and I will think of you often! I have accepted a job-share position in a second grade classroom in Westminster, which will allow me to spend more time at home with my children. It was a really hard decision, but ultimately I had to do what was best for my family. While I look forward to my new adventure, I will miss everyone and wish you all a fantastic school year! I look forward to hearing about all of the impressive things the students and the school will accomplish this year. Thank you all for making my time at St. Anna's so special.

Blessings for a great school year,

Beth Duffy

Welcome back St Anna's Tigers!

The Newton Family and I enjoyed our time attending and teaching at St Anna's Catholic School. The school's philosophy builds strong, confident children using Catholic values. This has been a continued philosophy since my oldest attended the school.

Right now, I am taking time to focus on my family and to study for additional certifications. These two combined will help me improve personally and professionally.

I hope to return as an educator in the community in the future.

Have a great year.

Mary Newton

New Staff

Please give a warm St. Anna welcome to our newest staff members:

4th grade- Mr. Tom Jacobs

5th grade- Mrs. Miranda Putnam

Music- Mr. Bill Beck (Mr. Beck taught music 3 years ago at St. Anna and we're happy to have him back)

Preschool Aide and extended care- Miss Kaitlin Mann (she worked in extended care last year)

Teaching Assistants: Mrs. Valerie McGregor & Mrs. Carrie Piermarini

Extended Care Staff- Miss Johanna Schafer

Extended Care

Extended Care has gone through a mini makeover this summer. All of the toys have been cleaned and reorganized making it easier for students to access items. We have a new 'quiet' area for the older students as well. You will see some changes this year as we try to break students into smaller groups and utilize classrooms for specialized activities.

Miss Ronna will be returning most afternoons to supervise extended care along with Miss Katilin Mann.

Miss Johanna Schafer will also be joining our extended care team. You will see her in the morning and afternoon beginning after Labor Day. We are also excited to have alums Mary Mahoney and Phillipa Harvey helping in Extended Care this year.

Teachers will be pitching in next week to open extended care each morning. We want students to come back seeing familiar faces each morning,

We will be utilizing the same sign in/out system. You'll find a small table by the door to sign your child in each morning and out each afternoon. This allows us to better track attendance at EC.

Please remember that any outstanding balances need to be paid in order to utilize EC starting next week.

We have lots of excited things planned for our students who get to extended their day at St. Anna School.
