Current Distance Learning Families ONLY: Distribution Day - Friday, November 20

This applies to those students currently participating in Distance Learning. Friday, November 20, will be the next distance learning distribution day. Materials will be set out in bins labeled by teacher. If it is a nice day, the bins will be outside in the front of the school, but in the case of inclement weather, the bins will be in the vestibule. Parents should look for their child’s materials in the bins. There will be one bin for materials to be picked up and another for any materials that you are dropping off. There will also be a bin for dropping off library books.

The pick up schedule will be as follows:

Students with last names A-M: 8:00 am - 12:00 pm

Students with last names N-Z: 12:00 - 4:00 pm

If you cannot make those times, the vestibule will be open until 8:00 pm, but we encourage you to come during your allotted time.

If you cannot pick up materials on this day, please contact the office to make alternate arrangements.

2020 Gifts for Others Program

The 2020 Gifts for Others Holiday Giving Program (GFO) has begun! GFO is designed to support families within the Turtle Lake community who are experiencing extreme financial stress during the holiday season. The program provides families with clothing items, books, grocery gift cards and some special gift requests.

Gift requests will all be electronic this year! Please visit the PTA website for more information and ways to contribute including:

  1. Sign Up Genius for individual items.

  2. Red Balloon wish list during the virtual book fair. 11/9-11/20

  3. Make a cash donation via PayPal. (Cash or check can also be sent to school with your child, please label GFO.)

  4. Sponsor a child or a family. You choose the level of involvement! Great for Scouts and other community organizations.

All gifts are due December 4.

Don’t Forget to Visit the Virtual Fall Book Fair

The Fall Book Fair is well underway and will be going until November 20th. Click here to access the Turtle Lake Fall Book Fair page on the Red Balloon’s website and start shopping! (Not only does Red Balloon sell high quality books, but also a wide array of other gift items, including puzzles, games, craft kits, and puppets.) This is a great opportunity to support the school library! Don’t forget to use coupon code TFALL20. This way your purchase will be counted as part of the book fair and support your school.

"A Turkey on Every Table" for the Ralph Reeder Food Shelf

Thanksgiving is almost here and many area families are struggling. The Ralph Reeder Emergency Food Shelf can purchase $10 of food for every dollar donation received, and a $25 contribution will provide a complete Thanksgiving meal for a family of 4. Please support Turtle Lake's "A Turkey on Every Table" fund drive by donating online at www.ralphreederfoodshelf.org or by mailing a check to the food shelf at 2544 Mounds View Blvd, Mounds View, MN 55112. Thank you for helping families in need this holiday season.
