Indian Creek Elementary - November 2016
Principal's Message
Dear Indian Creek Parents,
Indian Creek students are encouraged to be Champions in everything they do. We have three building wide expectations to assist students in better understanding what it means to Be a Champion. These expectations are: Be Respectful, Be Responsible, and Be Safe. Our message to Indian Creek students is that if they are being respectful, responsible, and safe, then they are being a Champion. In addition to the behavior expectations, we also provide our students with monthly Champion Tips. These tips are intended to educate students on how to meet our three building wide behavior expectations. Champion Tips are introduced on morning announcements and then reviewed the school year. So far this school year, we have taught seven Champion Tips including T.I.M., S.A.M., Power Words, and I-Messages. Posters for all of these Champion Tips are shown below. We encourage all of our families to adopt both the three behavior expectations and Champion Tips at home.

Indian Creek is proud to say we are one of only 7 elementary schools in the entire state that is STEM certified by the Indiana Department of Education.
Month in Review - October
October brought so much to be excited about! All Indian Creek students received one of our new school shirts, thanks to our community partners. We're looking forward to seeing these throughout the building as we celebrate our upcoming school spirit days. We also enjoyed some fall fun at Indian Creek's annual Harvest Hoopla. We hope you and your family enjoyed the games and activities, the food, and the new haunted trail. A big thanks to our teachers, parent volunteers, PFO, Dad's Club, and our community partners for all of their help.
