Share Your Gratitude With Us!
GRATITUDE TREE IN THE LRC:
There is a large tree painted on the wall in the LRC. For trimester 1, we are going to hang fall leaves on the tree with thoughts about why we feel grateful. Students will have the opportunity to fill out a “leaf” when they visit the LRC. Families can also submit ideas using this form. Your entry will be written on a leaf and added to our Gratitude Tree. Trunk or Treat THANK YOU!!!!
TRUNK OR TREAT SUCCESS!
Friday, October 29th was a wet beautiful mess at WHS Trunk or Treat 2021. From set up to tear down, there was a steady drizzle and the turnout of WHS families was HUGE!
Thank you to:
The Trunks. You brought joy to so many and were so creative.
The Volunteers. We couldn't have done it without you. For those that worry about the youth of today, a special shout out to the GWMS and GE students that volunteered. You were awesome and we'll take your help anytime.
Rett, WHS Custodian. You definitely surpassed your step goal last night and got a workout in.
The staff. You worked, after hours, to collect even more food items for families in need.
Mr. Danielski. Always willing to work with the PTA and are open to any idea. You rocked the behind the scenes with this event.
The Dads. You know who you are. Thank you for running out to buy more candy for our kids.
The families. You came out in hundreds (literally) to soak up the joy and get a little soaked too.
The pumpkins. So creative. We will contact the top 3 vote earners next week to claim your prize. If you didn't pick up your pumpkin yesterday, you can grab it in the office next week.
The generous WHS families/businesses and alumni family that contributed to the event - Red Brick Property Management, Rosemary and Jeans Public House, Righteous Kitchen, Tastefully Simple (Denise Dabisch), Cordell Family and Little Love Bakery.
The T o T Committee. This is soooo not a committee of one. It's a beautiful web of moms working to get it done. Shameless plug for the PTA - Parents, join us! We are awesome.
1st Place - Erazmus (Gold Snake)
2nd Place - S.Jackson (Minnie Mouse)
3rd Place - Smith Family (Blippi)
