Liberty's summer school program, Summer Adventure, is now accepting enrollment!

Summer Adventure 2015 is scheduled to take place from June 1st-June 26th. You can find detailed information about Summer Adventure, including the link to enroll online, by clicking here. This is a great opportunity for students of all ages, including incoming Kindergartners for 2015-2016.

Join us this Thursday from 6:00-8:00pm at the Northland Rolladium for our March Skating Party. School Skate Night parties are a fun and an easy way to help raise money for Schumacher. Bring your students and any other family members and friends who want to have a blast at each month's themed skate party. (The more paid skaters, the more money raised for Schumacher!)
The class with the most attendance will be awarded the "Golden Skate Award" trophy to keep in their classroom each month along with a free pass for each student in that class to use at a future public session. This month wear your favorite team’s colors in spirit of "March Madness" or wear your craziest hat, hairstyle, socks, or outfit to go crazy "mad" from head to toe!

Schumacher Celebrity appearances by: Mr. Farris, Ms. Walls , Ms. Ashley Johnson, Ms. Ruthann Johnson, and Mrs. Smith!

The rink has experienced management and staff, so you are always welcome to stay and even skate with your child. Or as long as your child is comfortable with you leaving, you can take some time to yourself by signing them in with a contact phone number!

PTA is looking for donations and volunteers to help out with Family Fun Night on Friday, April 10th. This is a huge undertaking for PTA, so we need all hands on deck. We are looking for donations of bottle water, soda, and movie theatre candy. Donations can be dropped off in the front office.

Volunteers will work in shifts so that you have a chance to enjoy the activities as well. If you are interested in volunteering, contact PTA President David Sparks.

Do you have your own direct marketing business like Mary Kay or Pampered Chef? Would you like to donate some of your product for prizes at Family Fun Night? Contact PTA Chairperson Michelle Campbell.

Friday, April 10th, 6:30pm

Get ready! It's coming! Family Fun Night is when PTA takes over the school for a night of fun and games around every corner. From a bounce house, to games like "Pie a STUCO member", to treats and snacks, this is a night you won't want to miss! Details coming soon.

National Fine Arts Week is March 23rd-March 27th. Each day that week will have a different theme. Check out next week's Smore for details.

In conjuction with Fine Arts Week, your child has an opportunity to compete in a school song-writing contest. Anyone in grades K-5 can put their creative ability to the test! Students are invited to compose an original song about our school. The top 3 songs, as decided by the specials teachers, will be voted upon by all Schumacher students. The winning song will be chosen during Fine Arts Week.

Don’t worry, we will always sing our traditional LS School Song, but it’s amazing to see what talent we have all around us, and we should celebrate it!

Your contest song should include original lyrics and may or may not have instrumental accompaniment. The composer does not have to perform it, but should be able to show that he/she was the musician responsible for the work.

All submissions must be in video format and are due to Mrs. Schwinger’s email address by 4:00pm on FRIDAY, MARCH 20TH. NO LATE SUBMISSIONS WILL BE CONSIDERED FOR THE CONTEST.

Let’s Make Music!
