Before heading to Nashville, the band will have preview concerts, including an in-school performance and the annual Veterans' Day Concert. Additionally, on November 9th, at 6:30 pm in the MHS Gymnasium, there will be a combined concert featuring the MRIS Wind Ensemble, 7th Grade Band, CGIS 7th Grade Band, MJHS Band, and MHS High School Bands, all dressed in Tennessee-themed attire to celebrate our great state.

MCS RECOGNIZES OUR NATIONAL MERIT SEMIFINALISTS
Over 1.3 million juniors in about 21,000 high schools entered the 2024 National Merit Scholarship Program by taking the 2022 Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT) which served as an initial screen of program entrants. The nationwide pool of Semifinalists, representing less than one percent of U.S. high school seniors, includes the highest-scoring entrants in each state.
Please join us as we celebrate our 2024 National Merit Semifinalists: Coston Autry, Mara Johnson, and Thomas Tisdale. Eash of these students will continue in the National Merit Scholarship Program.
Based on their performance on the 2022 PSAT/National Merit Qualifying test, MCS is pleased to announce that Mohib Ahmed, Arowyn Casenhiser, Kylie McMurray, Ophelia McQueen, Livia Odoi, and Patrick Qiu are recognized as Commended Students for the 2024 National Merit Scholarship Program.
Well done, seniors! We are proud of your commitment to academic excellence!
