New Weekly Update Newsletter for Students and Families

Today marks the first edition of the Weekly Update Newsletter for FHS. In addition to this newsletter being sent via email, you can always find the most recent edition on the Daily Announcements section of the FHS website (see the screenshot to the right). Students have a Daily Announcement icon on their iPad that will take them to the information as well. This update may be translated using the options on the menu bar at the top right of the newsletter.


All weekly updates will include information about upcoming important dates, weekly schedules for activities and athletics, and submitted announcements from staff sponsors.

2022 Variety Show Informational Meeting (Auditions)

There will be an informational meeting regarding auditions for the 2022 Variety Show on Thursday, September 29th at 2:50 in room 242. Email Mr. Baima with any questions: jbaima@d211.org.

Upcoming Events

October 6 - Practice SAT for Juniors/Early Release Schedule

October 6 is an early release schedule (dismissal at 11:50 am). Additionally, all juniors will participate in a Practice SAT. More information to come.

October 6 - D211 College Night

College Night will be held at Palatine High School from 6:30-8:30. More than 150 representatives from colleges and universities across the country will be available to talk with prospective students from all grade levels and their parents or guardians about their institutions.

October 10 and 11 - No Classes

Due to Columbus Day and a District Institute Day, no classes will be held October 10 and 11.

October 13 - Underclassmen Photo Retakes

Freshmen-Juniors - if you did not take your Yearbook photo in August during Wellness Classes OR if you are looking to retake your photo, plan to visit the Staff Study (back of the library) on Thursday, October 13. No appointments are necessary; you may visit the photo area during a free period or lunch.
