Welcome Back 4th and 5th Graders
Next week we look forward to welcoming back our 4th and 5th graders to campus on Monday, October 19th. You can change learning settings at the end of each six weeks. Please be sure to communicate your choice of in-person or virtual learning with your child's teacher for the 2nd 6 weeks which begins October 19th and ends December 4th.
Important Dismissal Updates
Please use this link: https://forms.gle/smHdUzdc1Zy3ptF48 to provide information about how your family will get home each afternoon. This information is extremely important for the safety of all students.
Parent pick-up:
Beginning Monday, October 19th, all families with Kindergarten or 1st grade students will pick up on James Ave. All families with only 2nd-5th graders will pick up on Grady Lee St. This is in an effort to evenly disperse the traffic. You will receive a bright green card with your family number if you pick up on Grady Lee and a Bright Orange card for James Avenue. Please display this in your car window or bring it with you if walking to pick up your child. After 3:10, all children who have not been picked up will need to exit the front doors to Grady Lee.
As always, student safety is our number one priority. Please be sure to pull all the way over to the curb when picking up your children. Cars in the second lane or out in the street will not be permitted to pick up children.
Bus riders: Please choose the bus stop which is closest to your home. Morning buses usually arrive in the neighborhood between 7:00-7:20am. Afternoon buses usually arrive in the neighborhood between 3:00-3:30pm. Please be sure to have an adult waiting at the bus stop with/for your children.
All students will be provided with plastic tags for their backpacks to indicate whether they are a bus rider, daycare van rider, parent pick-up or walker.
Health and Safety
- Masks need to be worn at all times over the mouth and nose
- Wash hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds
- Be careful with hand sanitizer- students should rub their hands until dry and avoid touching eyes and mouths directly after using it.

Fort Worth ISD will be celebrating Red Ribbon Week from October 26th, to October 30th. During this week, we encourage students to stay away from harmful substances and make healthy choices in all aspects of their daily lives. Even though this year has been very different, Greenbriar will celebrate Red Ribbon Week with daily themes, announcements, and activities that will encourage positive decisions that will follow them into adulthood.
- Monday-“I Dot My I’s and Cross My T’s By Saying No To Drugs”-Students may wear polka-dots and /or stripes.
- Tuesday-“I Am Drug Free Down To My Toes”-Students may wear crazy socks.
- Wednesday-“Team Up Against Drugs”-Students may wear t-shirts or jerseys of their favorite professional, college, or local teams.
- Thursday-“I Elect To Be Drug Free”-Students may wear red, white, and blue.
- Friday-“When I Jump Out of Bed, I Have Better Things to Do Than Drugs”-Students may wear appropriate pajamas.
If a student chooses not to participate in a theme, they must wear FWISD standardized dress, however, we want all in-person and virtual students to join in and have a good time.
We would love to have pictures submitted, but please remember if you send in a picture, it may be posted to Greenbriar’s social media. It should be a fun week!
