GO HORNETS!

Our first season game was a huge success! The RHS Marching Band played during the pre-game show, performed the opening movement of their show during halftime, and kept the crowd pumped up throughout the game.

Be sure to see all the pictures from the game on our SmugMug website.

Special thanks to Mr. Roberts, Mr. Renfroe, Mr. Hawkins, Mr. Scyphers, and Mr. Wilson for all their hard work and guidance. Thanks to the marching band students who performed wonderfully. Thanks to all of the volunteers which included not only parents, but also some band parent alumni (William and Julie Poole, Carolyn and Michael Gould) came out and were a tremendous help with the concession stand. Also, thanks to several band dads that got together on Saturday to help build show props.

BOOSTER BOARD MEETING MINUTES

The RHS Band Booster Association meets on the second Tuesday of each month. All band parents and students are welcome to attend. You can find minutes from the Booster Board meetings at:

https://www.roswellband.org/band-boosters/rhsbba-agendas-and-minutes/

TRUCK DRIVERS: PAID POSITION

Do you know a truck "owner/operator" who could help with moving the RHS Band trailer? We are searching for someone who owns their own truck cab who could help us move our band trailer to away football games and competitions. This is not a volunteer position and the driver does not need to be a band parent. We are budgeted to pay the standard rate for the driver, truck, and fuel, plus a cash tip to the driver. (We also offer free admission to football games and competitions, along with all the hot dogs they can eat.) We are seeking someone who has their own truck and can schedule some or all of our fall season trailer events.

An independent truck owner/operator would be a tremendous benefit for the band as we are currently having to work with very unreliable truck rental companies. Please spread the word among all of your business and family contacts.

If you know of anyone who might be interested, please contact Gregory Freeman at president@roswellband.com.

OPENING FOR BAND TREASURER

We are currently looking for someone to fill the position of Band Treasurer. Although our current treasurer, Aimee Christian, will be active until the end of 2021, we are recruiting now to provide sufficient time for a new volunteer to learn the position. The Band Treasurer manages the finances, budget, and transactions associated with the band. If you would be interested, please contact Aimee at treasurer@roswellband.com.

PRE-GAME MEAL THANK YOU

Thank you to the Band Booster Association and East Cobb Honeybaked Ham for providing the pre-game meal to the band students. We are always looking for volunteers (or financial donations) in order to provide pre-game meals at home games. Contact DaySha Gibson at roswellbandfundraising@gmail.com or 404.512.1775 to donate money or your time. Thanks in advance for your help and commitment to the kids!
