Wine, Dine and (L)EARN

with Become, Inc and the GAGDC

Tuesday, January 21, 2014

Kicking off the new year with our second Wine, Dine, (L)EARN event in Auburn Gresham, we will be discussing how we can be BETTER, bring in more FUNDING, and be more sustainable TOGETHER, as nonprofits and community. We'll discuss your thoughts on the most pressing needs of the community and how we can tackle and solve them more strongly. There will be a special emphasis on new ways of thinking about collaboration.

The event is for nonprofit managers, founders, executive directors, directors and board members in the communities of Auburn Gresham, Englewood, Greater Grand Crossing, West Chatham, and Washington Heights. Come with your burning questions and receive free consultation and be ready to connect with other nonprofits in the area. Please contact Become, Inc if you are from other parts of the city to find out when a Wine, Dine and (L)EARN event is happening in your community.

About Become, Inc

Our mission is to help communities reach their potential by amplifying the impact of resources (e.g., nonprofits, schools, faith-based institutions). We do this through training, education, coalition building, and Dynamic Evaluation. We work to inspire community involvement on all levels. We are committed to creating thriving communities for a socially just world.

We are not only an organization but we are also a partner, visionary, and catalyst. We come together with communities that are marginalized and organizations to create the reality that they want and need. We see the flaws in the systems that exist today but also the value inherent within each person, group, organization, community, and society. We invoke those strengths and assets to build or realize something greater until we achieve social justice, thriving people, and ultimately thriving communities.

About the Greater Auburn Gresham Development Corporation

GAGDC fosters and promotes the revitalization of the community by designing and implementing programs that improve the community’s economic viability; increase availability of quality housing to people of different income levels, while maintaining and improving existing affordable housing; and enhance delivery of social services, particularly to youth and senior citizens.
