Make Chareef's Dream Come True!

Seeking a Host Family for the 2014-2015 school year

All About Chareef

I hope you can handle the heat”. Chareef uses this phrase to describe a type of soup he can cook for you, but it really describes his desire to be in America. Ever since learning about the exchange program, he has dedicated much of time learning and improving his English. Just like Tom Yum Kung, Chareef’s personality is sweet and spicy. His family lives in a village between a rice paddy and a rubber plantation in Thailand. It is a beautiful place, and he often takes bike rides with his family. He lives with his parents, brother and young sister. He says that one of his main duties is to keep his baby sister from putting things in her mouth! He is used to cooking, cleaning and helping out with all the household duties. Chareef’s heart burns with intensity with learning as much English as possible. In fact, his main hobbies center around words. He listens to American music (especially Bruno Mars), reads constantly, and does crossword puzzles in his spare time. He also plays soccer to keep active with his teammates and friends. Chareef is thrilled to be given this opportunity for a scholarship. He will devote his flame of knowledge and experience to truly appreciate all an American family can offer.
