@ Alta Vista
August 19-23, 2019
INFO @ ALTA VISTA
Rhythm & Moves will begin on Monday, so please review the schedule to confirm your time. Unfortunately, Coach Adam has moved to Oakland and will be teaching there. Join me in welcoming our new Rhythm & Moves coach Jay Thomas. He will start the year off with a fitness unit (intermediate playground, unless you hear otherwise). After a week or two, he'll begin working with our recess leaders. More information to come.
Back to School Night - Wednesday
During the Back to School Night parent meeting, I like to introduce the whole staff to community. Please make your way to the cafeteria (as close to 6:45 as possible) and stand with your grade level team. I'll begin by introducing our intermediate teams, in order to give primary teachers an extra minute to make their way to the cafeteria. Immediately after introductions, you'll get to make your getaway. Please let me know if there is anything you need to make BTSN a success.
Breakfast on Thursday
The District Office will be providing breakfast on the morning following Back to School Night. Stop by the staff room and enjoy.
Music
Music with Jane Threet begins on August 27th.
TEAM ALTA VISTA DANCE - WEDNESDAY
Please take some time each day this week to do a quick practice with your class.
To help you out, we have our Dance Team's instructional video. If you're ready for just the music, here's the link.
Thanks again to Mikayla, Christy, Soraya, and Michelle!

THE WEEK IN REVIEW - THANKS TO EVERYONE!
Thanks to everyone who dropped their paw prints by the office. If your students are still wrapping up this project, please bring them by as soon as you are done, so that we can start the bulletin board.
Thank you to Liz and Liz, Kristin, Cyndy, Tanya, Nikki, Christine, Mikayla, Sarah, and Marika for sharing their Seesaw account with me. If you need help creating the student introduction videos, please reach out to Christy. She'll be at Alta Vista all week.
Last of all, thank you for your flexibility and help in making the Friday's picnic a success. Families had a wonderful time and are asking when we'll be having the next event.
THANK YOU!
