A Message from Pastor Sander

“I was glad when they said to me: Let us go to the House of the Lord!” Psalm 122:1

My Dear Friend:

A simple thing like going to church was taken from us for a while. To some, who have not yet returned, it already extends to a year-and-half! In April 2020 our “House of the Lord” locked its doors to help contain a deadly pestilence that was sweeping the world. We were told that by observing the rules of social distancing, wearing face coverings, and washing our hands often we could deny a new supply of food to the virus, and therefore, eliminate it from the face of the earth.

But alas! It has been 18 months and we are not free from it. It keeps mutating and finding new homes. I am writing you to ask you for your understanding and help in getting our church and its activities here on our campus back to normal. The Board of Elders of Blessed Savior has spent many hours searching the news and statistics of the pandemic so they could lead us through this difficult time without allowing any chance of us promoting a superspreading event.

The words of David hit home! “I was glad when they said to me: Let us go to the House of the Lord.” All the precautions hurt for the time being. So, we pray the Lord to help us, and then we put in the effort He has enabled us to contribute for the common good.

The marks of this pandemic are many and widespread. Families all over the world are suffering from its effects, that affected far more that our bodies’ health. In many cases, the virus destroyed relationships. It caused divisions among us. It split families and social groups. The healing will continue long after this plague is gone. Let us raise our prayers to the only true God, the only one who can help us in times of trouble.

Then, yes, we will be glad to go to the house of the Lord, when we can go without obstruction and without restrictions! Lord, have mercy! Grant it, Lord, to us all!

In the service of the Lord Jesus,

Pastor Martinho Q. Sander

Blessings from our Father

Greetings from our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ! It is that time of year again, back to school! We welcome all of our families to the 2021-2022 school year and can’t wait to see what God has in store for us! We thank Him for the many blessings that we receive daily -because we are His children.

What greater gift in life can we have, than the blessings of our Heavenly Father? Every day He provides for our every need. He takes care of us and loves us so very much! He knows what we need, when we need it, no need to fret. His blessing of love is a big one and what greater blessing than that do we get the chance to share with every student and family that passes through our doors.

With that said school starts Wednesday, September 1st. We are ready and blessed to have many new families joining our educational family. The rooms are all prepared and ready to go and waiting for students and learning to soon fill them! Our teachers are ready to go and waiting for students to teach. During the summer months these rooms took a small break, soon these rooms will be filled with noise of fun and learning! I urge you to take some time and look at what Blessed Savior is offering, tour our classrooms, walk the halls, talk with the teachers, and see God’s work being done!

I want to thank you for your support and the opportunity that we have to share the saving Gospel message with the students and families here at Blessed Savior. May the Lord continue to bless that mission for however long He sees fit. To God be the glory!

In His Service,

Jennifer Leinss
