- The FLSA documents referenced from this week's Principal PLCs are located in the HR Toolkit.
- Please share with your staff: In order to view the internal job postings, they will need to login to AppliTrack.
- Elementary Class Sizes and Waiver Information:
Class size limitations in K-4 do not apply for the last 12 weeks of a school year. Our last check for classes was 2/22/17 and at that time you did not have any 1st grade classes that exceeded 23:1. You are also only required to notify parents if TEA grants the exception, so there is no need to send out parent notification the last 12 weeks of the year.
Spring T-TESS Reminders
April 13 - End of the TTESS Appraisal Window
April 21 - Last day to complete Summative End-of-Year Conferences.
May 5 - Last day for you to share the written Summative Report with teachers.
June 1 - First day you are able to re-certify for the upcoming school year.
Please note that the Summative conference is held with the teacher prior to completing the Summative report. The purpose of your Summative conference is to discuss final scores for Domains 1-3, review evidence for Domain 4 and discuss the employee's goals and upcoming year's professional development plan. **Domain 4 is not scored in summative form until after the teacher has been afforded the opportunity to present evidence related to each of the four dimensions in this domain during the end-of-year conference. **
If you have an employee out on leave during the Summative conference window, please utilize the No Evaluation Form located in the HR toolkit.

Highlighting the Handbook
The PDAS/TTESS Correlation Chart in Chapter 4 could come in handy as we continue to transition teachers to the T-TESS language and rubrics. The descriptors used on this chart will enable your staff to fully understand the high expectations and standards associated with T-TTESS.
Professional Communication - it's something we all expect from our employees. But what do we do when someone fails to meet that expectation? Documenting effective, or ineffective, communication isn't as difficult as you might think. Pgs 5-5 addresses how to best handle unprofessional communication of an employee that is brought to your attention by a third party. A sample memorandum is included.
