PRIDE Model for Positive Behavior
Morning Meetings are Included each day
At Enon we utilize our PRIDE model for learning expectations. Enon Elementary uses Social Emotional Learning (SEL) strategies to help students be successful both at school and in the outside world. SEL is defined by by the Collaborative for Academic, Social, and Emotional Learning (CASEL) as “the process through which children and adults acquire and effectively apply the knowledge, attitudes, and skills necessary to understand and manage emotions, set and achieve positive goals, feel and show empathy for others, establish and maintain positive relationships, and make responsible decisions.” We utilize a variety of strategies to teach these skills, including daily morning meetings utilizing the Caring School Community program from the Center for the Collaborative Classroom. Teaching SEL skills allows students to better express themselves and deal with their emotions.Your child will be participating in daily Morning Meetings as part of our instructional day.

We have an active PTO that supports our school! PTO regularly posts information on the Enon PTO facebook site. You can reach PTO at enonelempto@gmail.com.
All of our school sponsored social media sites are listed below.
Your classroom teacher will also be communicating with you throughout the year using different formats including Canvas. Our goal is a 24 hour response for emails during the work week or the next day following a holiday so please let us know if you aren't hearing back as we want to make sure our communication is timely and that we have received your message.
If you have a general school question, please use the main line at 530.5720 or the school email at ees_mail@ccpsnet.net The best way to reach Dr. Huffman directly is through her email at Paula_Huffman@ccpsnet.net or feel free to call the school. We will continue to utilize the following CDC Prevention Strategies as indicated below:
Promoting Vaccination
Consistent and correct use of mask
Physical distancing when practical
Ventilation
Handwashing and Respiratory Etiquette
Cleaning protocols for healthy facilities
Staying home when sick and getting tested
Contact tracing in combination with isolation and quarantine
Seating charts must be maintained for contact tracing purposes in all areas i.e. resource, lunch, classroom
Students will be able to participate in recess using playground equipment. Masks are not required outside or during exercise. We will plan to host PE outside as we can but some activities and weather requirements will require indoor instruction.
