News From The PTA
Please join us next Wednesday, November 20th from 6pm-8pm in the TCPS Gym! This is an awesome opportunity for families to have hands-on conversations about digital safety, online presence, safe and not-so-safe apps for our kids, and to take home a digital plan for your own family! All parents are welcome, and content is best for 3rd-5th graders. Light dinner will be provided! Raffle prizes including gift cards and an Amazon Fire tablet! Please register on trilliumcreekpta.org so we have a headcount for food!
Notes of Appreciation!
Thank you to everyone who came out for our PTA meeting this past Wednesday evening. Important information was shared! If you missed it, you can view the recorded live stream on our Facebook page. Our next PTA meeting will be Wednesday, January 15th at 6pm. Mark your calendars!
Thank you to TCPS PTA members, Jennifer Anderson and Sarah Dobelstein (owner of Simply ReOrganized), who took on the huge task of decluttering and reorganizing our PTA storage spaces. They did an amazing job!

District Office News
Provide Us Your Student Success Act Feedback!
Please take a moment to provide feedback regarding the Student Success Act through this brief survey.
In May, the Oregon Legislature and the Governor signed the Student Success Act (HB 3427). This law provides funding, in the form of a grant, to all Oregon Schools. The West Linn-Wilsonville School District is able to access an estimated $7 million in grant funds through a state application process. As a school district applying for this grant, we are seeking the engagement of our community through a needs assessment process. The funds must be used to increase student outcomes by addressing five specific areas of importance:
- Reducing academic disparities
- Meeting students' mental and/or behavioral needs
- Providing equitable access to academic courses
- Allowing teachers and staff sufficient time to collaborate and review student data to develop strategies to support all students
- Establishing strong partnerships for student achievement
In addition to providing feedback through the needs assessment survey, the entire community is invited to attend the district's Community Conversation Forums to provide input. There will be two forums:
- Monday, Nov. 18 from 6-7 p.m. at Rosemont Ridge Middle School
- Tuesday, Nov. 19 from 6-7 p.m. at Wood Middle School
Interpreters will be available for Spanish-speaking families.

Winter Weather is Coming - Time to Update Your FlashAlert Subscriptions
FlashAlert is the system that we use to notify you of school closures, delays, and other similar events. The system is routinely pruned of untouched accounts so even if you had previously subscribed, you should verify your subscriptions at https://www.flashalert.net/login.html. Please note that this is not "our" system and we can provide limited help. You should consider getting the free FlashAlert Messenger app from the Apple AppStore or Google PlayStore. Announcements will also be displayed on the local TV channels. During an event, we will also post an announcement on the district home page (www.wlwv.k12.or.us).
Thank you, West Linn-Wilsonville!
On November 5th, our community voted on the two measures placed on the Special Election ballot:
- Measure 3-554: Capital Bonds to Increase Safety, Security; Address Overcrowding; Build, Replace Facilities, and
- Measure 3-555 Renewal of Five-Year Local Option Levy for Teaching Positions
By a majority for each, the measures have passed. On behalf of the School Board and the West Linn-Wilsonville School District, we thank our community for their support and investment.
The passage of these two measures benefits our students, families and teachers today and for years to come. These two measures will preserve about 80 teachers as well as fund safety & security infrastructure; construct new school buildings; expand CTE programs; build a new performing arts center; expand a stadium and parking; update technology; and attend to district wide repairs and upgrades.
The School Board will appoint a citizen Bond Oversight Committee to monitor the spending and progress of the projects outlined in the capital bond. Independent audits of bond expenditures will be conducted annually. Information about the bond projects, spending and progress will be made transparent to our public on our district Bond website.
