Crusaders' Counseling Connection
Littleton High School Counseling Newsletter for Grades 9-12
Happy New Year, Crusader Community!
I'd first like to thank each of you for your patience this school year as I've learned the ropes of my position and the needs of the school community. We're a work-in-progress in the High School Counseling Office, but rest assured, the foundation is being built for future years while presently meeting the academic, career/college, and social/emotional needs of students.
As the Littleton High School Counselor, two of my priorities are student access to opportunities and transparency. To achieve this, I've chosen to switch my newsletter structure from a PDF newsletter to this online platform in hopes of strengthening communication. Additionally, please check out the Littleton High School/Daisy Bronson Middle School Instagram and Facebook pages for schoolwide updates and events. Speaking for the High School Counseling side of things, it's my hope that students, parents/guardians, and staff feel in the loop.

Career & College Planning
Senior Specific
- It's never too late to explore your post-secondary plans! Many colleges, especially in-state schools, are still accepting applications if you want to diversify your college list. Connect with me for help!
- FAFSA reminder for Senior families: Completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) form allows you to be considered for federal student aid. In addition, states and colleges use FAFSA information to award their own grants, scholarships, and loans. But, since aid is limited, you should fill out the FAFSA as soon as possible. For support, please contact the NHHEAF Network. For Junior families, the FAFSA becomes available in October.
- The Littleton Scholarship Application will become available on February 24, 2023 and are due back by April 14, 2023 for local scholarships. Some national opportunities are listed on the High School Counseling website linked below.
Junior Specific
- As promised, second-semester is the time for us to talk about your post-secondary plans individually! Once we introduce Xello to you (see the very exciting announcement below), I'll send out some reminders for you to make a 30-minute appointment with me. The purpose of this meeting is to discuss your options and identify how I can help.
