I have enjoyed sharing my love of theatre with these students this year. If you can, come see myself and a few other fellow ACTS students in the production of "The Little Mermaid," June 16 - 26 at the Greenwood Community Theatre!
Strings - Mrs. Hrivnak
Social Studies - Mrs. Babb
Students worked hard this past week to complete their final writing project that asked each child to choose which country started the Cold War. They were given a rubric and four documents to analyze. Two documents argued that the Cold War was started by the Soviet Union, while the other two argued that the United States was responsible. They submitted their essays today, and we will read these in a gallery walk during class Tuesday and Wednesday.
They will also choose a country that they would like to visit, and I have planned an activity that allows each student to conduct research and plan a trip to a country of choice. Students will share their findings with classmates. This inquiry project includes an arts related activity and connections with math, science, and Language Arts courses.
I was so proud of our 7th graders and their outstanding performances during the ARTSMASH presentation. They are so talented!
