Any student that brings a canned food item to donate will have the option to dress up as a storybook character on October 31st. If you need an idea on what to dress up as, join the 4th grade teachers, and dress up like a crayon, for the book The Day the Crayons Quit.

ELAR Homework

The students are inferencing for the next three weeks. They need to use their schema and clues the author gives them from the text to draw conclusions about the story that are not directly stated within it.

Example: I can infer that Sally is mad because in the text is says that she slamed the door as she left the room.
